Kings of Leon announce 2011 shows (including Hyde Park)

Kings of Leon

Story by Jack Foley

KINGS of Leon have announced details of a series of huge headline outdoor shows for 2011, including a return to London’s Hyde Park.

The band, who recently released new album Come Around Sundown to more acclaim, will play five UK cities in the summer with the Hyde Park gig set to become another sold-out spectacular to follow last year’s triumphant headline performance to 65,000 fans.

Tickets for the shows in Coventry, Sunderland, Manchester, London and Edinburgh go on sale on Wednesday, November 3 at 9am.

Come Around Sundown, their fifth album, shot straight to No.1, claiming both the biggest week one sales of the year and the biggest ever first week digital sales along the way.

The band will also play a brace of December arena shows in the capital, which sold out in seconds – so get in early for the new dates to avoid disappointment!

Kings of Leon’s Summer 2011 tour dates are:

May
30 – Coventry Ricoh Arena

June
17 – Sunderland Stadium of Light
19 – Manchester Lancashire County Cricket Ground
22 & 23 – London Hyde Park
26 – Edinburgh Murrayfield Stadium
