Kylie Minogue to re-record former hits
Story by Jack Foley
KYLIE Minogue has announced plans to re-record some of her oldest and most popular hits as part of her celebrations to mark 25 years in showbusiness.
The Australian singer, who released her debut single The Locomotion in 1987, has already recorded an acoustic version of her 1992 hit Finer Feelings at Abbey Road Studios in London with the help of a 24-piece orchestra.
But the 43-year-old has said she will release more tracks later in the year without, as yet, disclosing what they will be.
Minogue first shot to prominence playing teenage mechanic Charlene Mitchell in the Australian soap opera Neighbours, before launching a pop career.
Her debut single spent seven weeks at No.1 in her native country and went to on become the highest selling single of the decade.
