Kylie to play New Year's Eve London show

KYLIE Minogue is to play a one-off London concert on New Year’s Eve at Wembley Arena.

The Australian singer, who has only recently returned to the live circuit following treatment for breast cancer, will play for her beloved UK fans from 8pm until midnight.

A dancefloor with a 3,500 capacity will also be built at the venue especially for the show, while the arena itself will remain open until 1am for the party to continue into 2007.

She promised: “I’ve been to some great New Year’s parties over the years and I can’t wait to host what will be the biggest party of all.”

The show follows Kylie’s Showgirl comeback tour in Australia last month, which received widespread critical acclaim and massive fan suppport.

It will be her first UK appearance since her cancer diagnosis in May 2005.

Tickets for the New Year’s Eve spectacular cost £65 and go on sale at 9am on Thursday, December 14. Expect demand to be massive and new records to be set!

Editor’s note: Transport for London (TfL) has announced that Tube services will be free and run until 4.30am. There will also be normal night bus services.
