Latitude Festival 2006 - Snow Patrol headline

Snow Patrol

Story by Jack Foley

SNOW Patrol are to headline the UK’s newest summer event, The Latitude Festival, taking place in the sweeping grounds of the historic Henham Park Estate, in Suffolk.

The Northern Ireland based indie-rockers will be joined by Antony & The Johnsons, Mogwai and Guilty Pleasures for the three-day event from Friday, July 14 to Sunday, July 16.

Latitude is designed to showcase some of the best in music talent while offering a new concept in ‘festival living’ – a cultural event with art, film, dance, sculpture, comedy, theatre, performing arts, workshops and, of course, great tunes.

It is based on the successful format of several European festivals, such as Lowlands and is being organised by the Mean Fiddler group.

Aside from the music, the three-day all day and all night festival will include DJ sets, comedy, burlesque, sculpture, theatre, dange, politics, poetry, book readings, art, film and a children’s art and theatre area.
