Laura Marling announces church tour (2008)

LAURA Marling will be heading out on a short tour at the start of June, playing in intimate churches around the UK.

The talented singer will be playing four church venues, including St James, Picaddilly, on June 11.

She will also be supporting Neil Young in Ireland on June 30 and Kent on July 6 and performs with Adem this Sunday, May 25, at The Union Chapel, London. New dates in America, Ireland and Australia have also been announced.

Firstly, however, the Church tour dates are (all June)…

9 – Glasgow, Gilmore Hill and Upstairs at Oran Mor
10 – Manchester St Phil’s
11 – London, St James’
12 – Birmingham, St Paul’s

Laura also releases her new single Cross Your Fingers / Crawled Out of the Sea through Virgin Records on June 9. The new single is taken from her critically acclaimed debut album Alas I Cannot Swim, which came out in February this year.

The single will be released on CD, 7” and as part of an iTunes Bundle, which will include a live version of Crawled Out of the Sea from her two sold out shows at the Union Chapel earlier this year.
