LIAM Gallagher’s new band, Beady Eye, have announced their first UK live dates in 2011.

The group, comprised mostly of ex-members of Oasis, will kick off their six-date tour in Glasgow before playing two nights in London.

Beady Eye features Gallagher on vocals, as well as Gem Archer, Andy Bell and Chris Sharrock. In live form, bass player Jeff Wootton – who is currently playing with Gorillaz – and keyboardist Mat Jones will also be joining them.

The live dates are (all March 2011):

3 & 4 – Glasgow Barrowlands
6 & 7 – Manchester Apollo
9 & 10 – London Troxy

Earlier this month, the band gave fans a first taste of their recordings with a free download from their website.

The newly formed band will also release their as yet untitled debut album in 2011.
