Story by Jack Foley

MADNESS have announced details for their biggest show of 2013, so far. The British legends will be playing London’s iconic Alexandra Palace on September 22.

Tickets will be made available on Friday, March 22 from here priced at £38.50.

Speaking about the show the band said: “Buckingham Palace didn’t have a slot for us this year so we Googled palaces and would you believe it there’s one right round the corner from where we live. We cant play on the roof but we can certainly reign supreme at Ally Pally.”

Friday, March 22 will also see the band help say good bye to one of London’s most recognisable landmarks, BBC Television Centre.

Madness will be performing an hour long set in front of TV Centre, with the whole show being broadcast live on BBC 4.

On performing the band said: “We’ve played at some exciting places in London lately but closing BBC TV Centre, a sad day, the end of an era, but what a celebration!”

As well as Alexandra Palace, Madness will be touring a number of classic British events over the summer.

The band will take in 10 shows ranging from Gosforth Park Racecourse, Sandown Park Racecourse, Newmarket and Northampton County Cricket Ground between June and September. They have also confirmed that the legendary Madness House Of Fun Weekender will take place in November of 2013. For more information on tickets please click here.
