Massive Attack add extra UK dates (2009)

MASSIVE Attack have added two dates to their autumn UK tour due to popular demand.

The additions include a third show at London’s O2 Academy Brixton on September 19, 2009, and a second show at Manchester Apollo on September 27.

Massive Attack make a triumphant return with their first full UK tour in three years; their last was for the album Collected released in 2006.

More recently, their live appearances have included Glastonbury where they were one of the main headliners and Meltdown at London’s Southbank Centre last summer, which Massive Attack also curated.

Massive Attack will release a new studio album in September.

The tour dates are (new dates appear in bold, all September and October 2009):

24 – Leeds 02 Academy
26 – Manchester Apollo
27 – Manchester Apollo
28 – Glasgow 02 Academy

2 – Leicester De Montfort Hall
3 – Swindon Oasis

Tickets for the new dates go on sale on Tuesday, April 28 at 9am. They cost £28.50 regional and £30 London.
