Matchbox Twenty announce iTunes London gig and new LP

Matchbox 20

Story by Jack Foley

MATCHBOX Twenty are back with a new single, new album and their first UK show since 2008!

The US four-piece play the annual iTunes Festival at London’s Roundhouse on September 19, 2012, thereby joining a host of other artists including Jack White, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, Norah Jones, Ed Sheeran, Usher, Jessie J and Labrinth.

Frontman Rob Thomas says: “We’re really excited about the opportunity to be a part of the iTunes festival. Any chance to do our favourite thing in one of our favourite cities is always a win.”

Rob Thomas, Paul Doucette, Kyle Cook and Brian Yale are set to raise the barometer with feverish new single She’s So Mean, written by band members Rob Thomas, Paul Doucette and Kyle Cook and produced by Grammy-Award winning producer Matt Serletic (Willie Nelson, Aerosmith, Santana).

The song is taken from forthcoming album North, out September 4.
