Maximo Park to play fifth T-Mobile Street Gig

Maximo Park

Story by Jack Foley

THE fifth in the series of T-Mobile Street Gigs will feature Mercury nominated newcomers Maximo Park on Wednesday, June 14.

Following the release of their debut album, A Certain Trigger last year, Maximo Park have swiftly risen to indie fame, headlining the NME Awards Tour in February this year.

The debut album has even been hailed by some critics as the finest British release of the decade.

The gig will take place at The Vinyl Factory in London and Maximo Park frontman Paul Smith, known for his eccentric showmanship, will hand design a bespoke piece of vinyl for every gig goer lucky enough to get their hands on tickets to this gig.

He explains: “The Vinyl Factory gives the band the opportunity to play in an intimate space and look into people’s eyes so that they understand how much the songs mean to us.”

Tickets are strictly by invite only. To be in with a chance of getting on the guest list for this intimate gig, music fans must register online at www.t-mobile.co.uk/street .

Maxïmo Park are: Paul Smith (Vocals), Duncan Lloyd (guitars), Lukas Wooller (keyboards), Archis Tiku (bass) and Tom English (drums).

A DVD, Found On Film, is released on June 5, which includes live footage from Brixton and Newcastle Academy, a tour Documentary, all the bands promo videos and an audio CD of BBC Sessions.
