Metronomy announce December 2014 UK tour

Story by Jack Foley

METRONOMY have announced a three-date tour for December 2014.

The jaunt will see them visit Glasgow’s Academy, London’s Alexandra Palace and Manchester’s Albert Hall for their biggest live shows to date.

Tickets will go on general sale on Friday, July 11th at 9am.

Metronomy recently played two heroic sets at Glastonbury 2014. On Thursday, they played an intimate secret show at the William’s Green tent, one of just two acts playing live that night. The room was packed, the atmosphere was electric with sweat dripping off the ceiling and everyone there knew they had just witnessed one of the most special and intimate moments that Glastonbury is reputed for.

Then came Friday night; Metronomy stepped up to headline The Park stage, prompting the band to issue a statement saying: “Thank you to everyone who has come to watch us headline Glastonbury 2014, I know the Pyramid Stage looks smaller on TV than in reality…”

Metronomy is the sole creation of singer, writer and producer and expert musician Joseph Mount. His band are: Oscar Cash (keys, sax, vox), Anna Prior (drums, vox), Gbenga Adelekan (vox, guitar).

The dates are (all December 2014)

4 – Glasgow Academy
5 – London Alexandra Palace
6 – Manchester Albert Hall
