Michael Jackson: Concert refund details released
Story by Jack Foley
REFUND details for those who bought tickets to Michael Jackson’s London O2 Arena shows have finally been released by concert promoter AEG.
A statement issued by the promoter confirms that full refunds will be available through the authorised ticket sellers that issued the tickets, including Ticketmaster, Viagogo, Ticketswitch, See or Ticketline.
Ticket-holders requiring detailed information about how to go about receiving their refunds should visit MichaelJacksonLive.com from July 1.
In addition, fans will be given the option of still receiving the actual tickets they would have received to attend the shows in lieu of a full refund.
The tickets were originally designed by Jackson and printed with a special lenticular process and they could be worth a lot of money in years to come as Michael Jackson related memoraibilia soars in value.
This offer will remain valid until August 14.
Commenting in a statement, Randy Phillips, President & CEO of AEG Live, said: “The world lost a kind soul who just happened to be the greatest entertainer the world has ever known. Since he loved his fans in life, it is incumbent upon us to treat them with the same reverence and respect after his death.”
Michael Jackson died on Thursday last week (June 25, 2009) after suffering a cardiac arrest at his home in Los Angeles.
