Misfits: OST - Preview & competition

Misfits OST

Preview by Jack Foley

SONY are pleased to announce the release of the soundtrack from cult TV show Misfits with a track-listing of 18 unforgettable songs including the anthemic series theme tune from The Rapture, exclusive music from Vince Pope and a plethora of indie classics from Blur, The Cure, Foals and Massive Attack.

Misfits, follows five early-20s delinquents on community service who acquire special powers during an electrical thunder storm.

Kelly (Lauren Socha) gains the ability to read minds, Curtis (Nathan Stewart-Jarrett) can rewind time, Alisha (Antonia Thomas) sends people into a sexual frenzy with her touch, Simon (Iwan Rheon) can become invisible and smart alec Nathan (Robert Sheehan) is seemingly unaffected.

The BAFTA award winning series has been a smash hit on Channel 4/E4. Series 2 regularly got 1.5 million viewers and was one of the top-rated multi-channel shows each week.

Series 2 starts on Channel 4 on May 3, and runs for 6 episodes. Music is a massive part of the show, and the highlights from both series are included here – including specially commissioned score music from Vince Pope.

Classic tracks are brought to a new generation including the gorgeous Lullaby from The Cure and Echo & The Bunnymen The Killing Moon.

There are also more recent tracks from indie faves including The Fratellis, The Black Keys and Foals.
