Morrissey - London's Royal Albert Hall show cancelled

IT HAS just been announced that tonight’s show (May 11, 2009) at the Royal Albert Hall has been cancelled due to illness.

Event Organizers would like to apologize to fans for the disappointment but say Morrissey is unable to perform and on doctor’s orders has been told to rest.

Ticket holders are advised to hold on to their tickets and await more information regarding a possible rescheduled date. An announcement is expected soon.

Previously Posted: After selling out London’s Royal Albert Hall and two homecoming shows at the Manchester Apollo in 15 minutes, Morrissey will embark on a full UK Tour in May 2009.

Morrissey will start his May 2009 tour at Stirling Albert Hall on Monday, May 4 and finishes with additional London shows at Mile End Troxy Ballroom on Tuesday (26) and London Brixton O2 Academy on Thursday (28).

Morrissey will be joined by on all dates by special guest Doll & The Kicks.

Morrissey’s new studio album, Years of Refusal, will be released on February 16, 2009 on Polydor and will be preceded by the single I’m Throwing My Arms Around Paris one week prior.

Tickets go on general sale on Friday, December 12 at 10am. They will be limited to a maximum of six per person.
