Morrissey announces two UK arena shows (2020)

MORRISSEY has announced two UK arena concerts in 2020 in support of his new album, I Am Not A Dog On A Chain.

The singer has also confirmed dates in Cologne and Paris.

The first UK date is at Leeds First Direct Arena on Friday, March 6 along with a second show set at The SSE Arena, Wembley in London on Saturday, March 14. He also plays the Palladium Cologne on March 9 and the Salle Pleyel in Paris on March 11.

Morrissey’s 13th solo album, I Am Not A Dog On A Chain is set to be released on March 20, 2020. The album, produced by Grammy award winning producer Joe Chicarelli (Beck, Tori Amos, The Strokes, The Killers, The White Stripes, The Raconteurs, etc), and recorded at Studio La Fabrique in Saint- Rémy de Provence, France, and Sunset Sound in Hollywood, California, also saw it’s first single, Bobby Don’t You Think They Know?, featuring backing vocals by legendary R+B Icon Thelma Houston, released to great critical and fan response.

In addition, Morrissey’s cover of Roy Orbison’s 60’s classic – It’s Over enjoyed a No.1 chart position on last week’s UK Vinyl Singles chart. The HMV exclusive is scheduled for wide release later this month on January 24.

Tickets for the UK shows will go on sale to the public on Friday, January 24 at 9am. An exclusive pre-sale will take place starting on Tuesday, January 21 at 9am for those fans who have pre-ordered the I Am Not A Dog On A Chain album in advance through Townsend Music.
