Story by Jack Foley

MUSE (pictured) and Stevie Wonder will join U2 as headliners at this year’s Glastonbury Festival.

The former will headline the main Pyramid Stage on Saturday, June 26, while Motown legend Wonder will bring the event to a close on the following night.

U2’s appearance on the Friday had previously been announced.

This year’s Glastonbury will mark the 40th anniversary of the event and some 175,000 people are due to attend.

Tickets are sold out – although Muse fans can still catch the band at their stadium shows in London and Manchester in September.

Glastonbury officials are also celebrating the news that the festival has just got a licence to continue until 2016. Find out more

Other stars so far confirmed for this year’s Glastonbury bill include Dizzee Rascal, Corinne Bailey Rae, Andy Williams and Jack Johnson.

Organisers have also promised a number of surprise big-name performances to celebrate the anniversary.
