MARBLE Hill House in Twickenham is to play host to a series of concerts entitled Music On A Summer Evening throughout August 2006.

The line-up is as follows…

Saturday, August 12 – Jools Holland and His Rhythm & Blues Orchestra
Back by popular demand, the sensational sounds of piano, percussion and stunning vocals, as Jools Holland, the most popular pianist and band-leader in the country, returns to Marble Hill. What better way to open the season at Marble Hill for what is sure to be another sell-out success. Featuring Gilson Lavis with guest vocalists Sam Brown & Ruby Turner.

Saturday, August 19: A Tribute To Dirty Dancing (pictured
Dirty Dancing has been a household favourite since Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey starred in the hit 1987 film. Now A Tribute to Dirty Dancing, the concert, comes to Kenwood, and who could resist the chance to dress up and dance along to all the hits, including Hungry Eyes, Do You Love Me, Will You Love Me Tomorrow and I’ve Had the Time of My Life.

Sunday, August 27 – Last Night of the Marble Hill Proms
While it lives up to its reputation of a flag-waving Last Night party celebrating British tradition, it equally encapsulates the spirit of Music on a Summer Evening. The all-embracing programme will feature the much-loved classics, Elgar’s Pomp and Circumstance, Nimrod, Jerusalem and Rule Britannia. There will be the opportunity to hear the stunning British baritone, Robert Meadmore, and don’t miss the spectacular firework finale.
