Noel Gallagher announces solo show for charity

Story by Jack Foley

OASIS co-founder Noel Gallagher is to perform live at a drugs benefit gig in London in November.

The evening, entitled For Pities Sake Focus, is designed to offer a selection of music and comedy to raise money for Focus12, a charity dealing with all aspects of drug addiction.

The special event takes place at Koko in Camden, north London, on November 2, 2006.

Comic Russell Brand has also been announced as a performer along with another “very special guest” who has yet to be announced.

Tickets for the show can be purchased now from ticketmaster.co.uk

The November gig will mark the first time that Noel has performed on stage since Oasis completed their world tour earlier this year.
