Noisettes announce extra London show and new single

Noisettes, Wild Young Hearts

Story by Jack Foley

NOISETTES have announced an extra show at London’s O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire as part of their October tour of the UK (2009).

The band will play the venue on October 27 and tickets go on sale on Friday, July 31, at 9am.

In addition, Noisettes will release their new single, the title track of their Top 10 album, Wild Young Hearts, on August 31.

Noisettes’ ascent, at home and abroad, has been impossible to miss this year. As well as their UK chart success, and their album, the follow-up to 2007’s What’s The Time, Mr Wolf, going Gold, the band’s star has been also on the rise in the US.

Island-Def Jam President LA Reid invited Noisettes to appear alongside Rihanna at the label’s recent showcase party and the band has featured in the pages of US publications from The New York Times to Vogue to Pitchfork.

They are also preparing for appearances on Late Show with David Letterman and hit show One, Tree Hill.

And their Never Forget You single has hit #1 on the US Alternative Radio Chart.
