One Direction

Story by Jack Foley

ONE Direction have announced their first ever global headline stadium tour for 2014.

The boy band will play venues in the UK, Ireland and South America as part of their Where We Are 2014 world tour, which will also support their upcoming third studio album. The UK dates include a stop at London’s Wembley Stadium on June 7, 2014.

Speaking at a press conference in London, Niall Horan said: “We are ecstatic. We have only been a band for three years and we’re already doing stadiums – including Wembley.”

Harry Styles added: “It’s important the fans and everyone who comes to see the show know it’s going to be much bigger and new songs. A completely different tour.”

Further dates in countries across the globe will be announced in the future.

One Direction’s new stadium tour follows their current Take Me Home arena show, which will see the group perform 120 concerts across the world by the end of November.
