Paloma Faith and The Guy Barker Orchestra announce Barbican date
Story by Jack Foley
FOLLOWING their sold-out Barbican show in December 2010, Paloma Faith and 42-piece Guy Barker Orchestra return this autumn to present full-blown orchestral arrangements of Paloma’s own material intermingled with classic jazz ballads, backing singers and fabulous costumes.
The concert takes place at The Barbican on Thursday, October 24, 2013 (in the Barbican Hall).
It will feature songs from Paloma’s latest Brit-nominated Fall to Grace release (including hits Picking Up The Pieces and 30 Minute Love Affair) alongside a few other surprises.
Paloma commented: “I’m so excited to be performing with Guy again and looking forward to putting a new spin on the songs with the new orchestral arrangements.”
Paloma Faith is proving to be one of the most innovative and creative female singers of her generation; never afraid to take risks or push boundaries. A captivating chanteuse, a rabble-rousing entertainer and theatrical fashion chameleon, Paloma Faith truly comes alive onstage.
She said: “A lot of people write songs because they want to record them in a studio, they want to put their feelings out there, I don’t write songs for that reason: I write songs so I can perform them.”
Tickets cost between £25 and £15. Find out more
