Paramore duo Josh and Zac Farro quit band

Story by Jack Foley

TWO of Paramore’s founding members have quit the band, according to a statement on the band’s website.

Brothers Josh and Zac Farro, who respectively played the guitar and drums, reportedly told the rest of the band two months ago of their plans to leave and pursue other musical projects.

The remaining three members – lead singer Hayley, Jeremy and Taylor – say they will continue as normal.

The statement read: “None of us were really shocked. For the last year it hasn’t seemed as if they wanted to be around anymore.

“We want Josh and Zac to do something that makes them happy and if that isn’t here with us, then we support them finding happiness elsewhere. But we never for a second thought about leaving any of this behind.”

Having had a busy 2010, including two sold out shows at London’s O2 Arena last month (November), the band plan to hit the ground running in 2011 with a tour of South America and a fourth studio album in the pipeline.
