P.O.D. announce early 2009 UK tour dates

P.O.D., the multi-platinum, Grammy nominated rock band, have announced that they will be touring the UK for the first time in five years, in February 2009 to support their recently released album, When Angels & Serpents Dance.

The UK shows are part of a 31-date European co-headlining tour the band are doing with Filter.

Tickets for the tour go on sale on Monday, October 13, and all ticket prices are subject to a booking fee.

Full dates as follows (all February 2009):
11 – Birmingham, Academy 2
13 – Oxford, Academy 2
14 – Manchester, Academy 3
15 – Glasgow, Garage
17 – Nottingham, Rescue Rooms
18 – London, Astoria 2

With guitarist Marcos Curiel returning to the fold after a four-year absence, singer Sonny says: “For me, the fun part right now is just seeing Marcos up there on stage – I’ve always loved his sound and tone.

“I’m really looking forward to touring and goofing around with the guys. We’re excited to be coming back to the UK – our shows there have always been memorable.”

To coincide with the dates, P.O.D. will be releasing a digital download single, Addicted, which will also feature an exclusive track, Ridin’ With You.
