Polly Scattergood announces first UK headline tour

Polly Scattergood, LP

Story by Jack Foley

POLLY Scattergood has announced her first headline tour of the UK, including a night at London’s Cargo in April.

Scattergood, who released her eponymous debut album to widespread acclaim earlier this month, will play a total of 10 dates, beginning in Lancaster and ending in Leeds. She has also been confirmed for the Great Escape Festival in Brighton.

A rare talent, Scattergood sings about suicidal tendencies, sadness in the air, spitting on her French knickers and being called a whore on her debut album, but does so in such an idiosyncratically alluring, soft little-girl voice, one of ravaged innocence, and she places her startling images in such pretty pop contexts, that you can’t help being seduced.

Scattergood’s first UK headline tour follows on from her sold out Roundhouse Studio show last week.
