Pulp confirm reunion and Hyde Park date (2011)

Story by Jack Foley

PULP have confirmed that they are to reform and play at least two shows in 2011.

The six original members, led by singer Jarvis Cocker, will headline London’s Hyde Park on July 3, 2011, as part of next year’s Wireless Festival.

Prior to that, they will also top the bill at Spain’s Primavera Sound event on May 27.

The gigs will mark their first performances in 15 years with tickets – costing £48.50 – due to go on sale on Friday, November 12, at 9am.

Confirming their reunion on BBC Radio 1, the band also said they would play songs from throughout their career at the two gigs, which includes favourites such as Common People, Disco 2000 and Help The Aged.

Pulp last performed live together in August 1996 but frontman Cocker has enjoyed solo success with several albums, a DJ stint on 6 Music and the odd acting appearance.
