Radiohead to play two London dates in 2008

Story by Jack Foley

RADIOHEAD have confirmed two London dates in 2008 as part of a European tour that will also visit Paris, Dublin and Glasgow.

The band will play London’s Victoria Park in June, as well as venues in Dublin, Glasgow and Manchester.

Tickets for the four-date tour will go on sale from 9am on Friday, December 7 and the dates are (all June 2008)...

7 – Dublin Malahide Castle
24 & 25 – London Victoria Park
27 – Glasgow Green
29 – Manchester Old Trafford Cricket Ground

The confirmation of the UK dates follows soon after the band teasingly announced a full European tour via a statement on their official website last week, in which they listed a number of cities at which they will perform and the months they will play without revealing the exact venues in most cases.

The band will also release their latest album In Rainbows physically into stores on December 31, having previously made it available online in October when fans were invited to pay whatever price they wanted to download it from the Radiohead website.

Of the other live dates properly confirmed so far, Thom Yorke and co will be at Milan’s Civic Arena on June 18 as well as the Roskilde festival in Denmark in July and Germany’s Southside and Hurricane festivals in June.
