Ramin Karimloo announces new album and UK tour dates
Story by Jack Foley
WEST End superstar Ramin Karimloo has announced that his debut self-titled album will be released on March 5, 2012.
The actor-singer – best known for playing roles including Jean Valjean in Les Miserables and as the iconic Phantom in The Phantom of the Opera, including the 25th anniversary spectacular at the Royal Albert Hall – has also announced a selection of tour dates to mark the release.
His debut album, Ramin, is produced by Tom Nichols (Celine Dion, Hayley Westenra) and includes not only his own compositions but covers of Bryan Adams and Muse songs, his take on the mighty Music of the Night from The Phantom of the Opera as well as brand new material from songwriting heavyweights like Ryan Tedder (Leona Lewis’ Bleeding Love).
Ramin commented: “I always wanted to record my own album… I’m so glad I now have.”
