Ray Davies announces 14-date UK tour (2012)

RAY Davies brings his songbook of classic British hits – from his days in The Kinks up through recent solo repertoire – to the forefront of the national psyche with an appearance at Hop Farm June 29 and a UK tour with his band later this year.

The singer has announced a total of 14 dates, kicking off with those festival appearance in June and running into September and October. The jaunt includes a night at London’s Royal Albert Hall.

Tickets go on general sale on Friday, May 18 with prices starting at £32.50.

The Band are: Ray Davies – Vocals /guitar; Bill Shanley – guitars; Dick Nolan – bass; Ian Gibbons – keyboards (ex member of The Kinks) and Damon Wilson – drums.

A treasure trove of Kinks’ sessions, live recordings and unreleased material The Kinks At The BBC is released August 13, 2012 on Universal.
