Story by Jack Foley

HOT on the heels of headlining the Reading and Leeds Festivals, the Grammy Award-winning Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees Red Hot Chili Peppers are set to return in December for their first UK tour in five years.

Red Hot Chili Peppers have spent the summer touring in support of their eleventh studio album, The Getaway, at a variety of music festivals around the world, including headlining Lollapalooza in Chicago, T In The Park in Scotland and Fuji Rock in Japan.

Produced by Danger Mouse and mixed by Nigel Godrich, The Getaway reached No.1 in 10 countries across Europe and reached No.2 in the UK.

To coincide with the tour announcement, the band can also announce that their next single, Go Robot, will impact on October 14.

Compared by Rolling Stone to a mash-up between Chic and Daft Punk, Go Robot is driven by a typically memorable bass line courtesy of Flea, and further embellished with sparkling bursts of synth and upbeat disco-styled percussion.

The tour dates are (all December 2016)

5 & 6 – London, The O2
8 – Glasgow, The SSE Hydro
10 & 11 – Birmingham, Genting Arena
