Red Hot Chili Peppers announce UK dates (2006)
Story by Jack Foley
RED Hot Chili Peppers have announced details of their UK tour, including four nights at London’s Earl’s Court in July.
The shows will support the band’s new album, Stadium Arcadium, which hits stories on May 8, 2006.
Originally conceived as a trilogy with 38 songs in contention, Stadium Arcadium will be a 28-track double album with discs entitled Jupiter and Mars. The single Dani California will precede the album with its May 1 release date.
The band – Anthony Kiedis, Flea, John Frusciante and Chad Smith – entered the studio last March with producer Rick Rubin (Beastie Boys, System Of A Down) to commence work upon the album and all contributed equally to the new material.
