Robin Thicke's Blurred Lines is UK's biggest selling single of 2013

ROBIN Thicke’s Blurred Lines was the biggest selling single of 2013 in the UK.
The track, featuring Pharrell Williams, shifted 1.47 million copies, beating second placed Get Lucky, by Daft Punk, which enjoyed 1.3 million sales (and again featured Williams as well as Nile Rodgers).
The sales figures, released by The Official Charts Company, also revealed that Avicii enjoyed the third biggest selling single of the year with his debut number 1 Wake Me Up – a record that also holds the title of the fastest selling track of the year with 267,000 copies sold in the first week of its release in June.
Passenger, aka Mike Rosenberg, came fourth with his single Let Her Go (1.03 million copies), while Naughty Boy featuring Sam Smith rounded out the top five with La La La (941,000 copies).
The British Phonographic Industry also released figures to mark the end of 2013 that revealed that the Arctic Monkeys, Bastille and Daft Punk were the most streamed artists of 2013.
