Ronson and Doherty for Diesel's Creative Experiment (London)

FASHION house Diesel is to celebrate its 30th anniversary with a series of international celebrations, including a concert in London at Matter in The O2.

The gig, featuring artists such as Mark Ronson and Pete Doherty, is one of several high-profile celebrations taking place in 18 major cities around the world, in eight different time zones, on Saturday, October 11, 2008.

Other cities taking part include Amsterdam, Athens, Barcelona, Beijing, Copenhagen, Dubai, Helsinki, Milan, Munich, New York, Oslo, Paris, Sao Paulo, Stockholm, Tel Aviv, Tokyo and Zurich.

The London event, dubbed The Creative Experiment, will take place at one of the capital’s most exciting new venues, Matter, which has its own separate entrance at the O2 Arena via The Thames.

The bill promises to offer 30 of the hottest musical acts performing unique collaborations throughout the night in a “musical relay”.

Already confirmed are Cock’n’Bull Kid, Disco Bloodbath, Friendly Fires, Hannah Hanra (Durr), Lethal Bizzle, Mark Ronson, Mystery Jets, New Young Pony Club,, Pete Doherty, Rob Da Bank, The Lovely Jonjo (Durr), These New Puritans, The Souljazz Records Soundsystem, The Teenagers and The View. Further acts will be announced in due course.

Tickets go on sale for the event on September 4, 2008 through and from Diesel stores nationwide. They cost just £5 a ticket, with all proceeds going to the Youth Intiative Livity
