Sandi Thom announces February dates (2007)

AFTER touring the UK, US and Australia successfully last year, Sandi Thom has announced new tour dates in February where she will showcase material from her forthcoming second album.

The eight shows include a night at London’s Islington Academy on February 15.

Less than 10 weeks after she signed to RCA Label group, the popular singer/songwriter scored three No.1’s.

Her debut single I Wish I Was A Punk Rocker went to the top of both the i-Tunes UK download chart and the UK singles charts.

And her debut album Smile… It Confuses People climbed to No.1 in the album charts and has since sold over 300,000 copies.

Sandi also managed to achieve a record number of weeks at the top of the Australian chart at the end of 2006, where she held No.1 for 10 weeks with I Wish I Was A Punk Rocker.

She also sold more than 500,000 copies of the single in the UK and the track became one of the biggest selling and most notable hits of 2006.

Currently, Sandi is in the studio in her Tooting flat finishing her second album which is expected to be released this Summer.

Feb 15 – Islington Academy, London
Feb 16 – Coventry, Warwick Arts Centre
Feb 17 – York, Pocklington Arts Centre
Feb 19 – Glasgow, Oran Mor
Feb 20 – Northampton, The Deco
