Scouting For Girls announce free EP as thank you

Scouting For Girls

Story by Jack Foley

HAVING been nominated for three Brit Awards, Scouting For Girls have decided to celebrate by making a free EP for their loyal fans.

The free download-only Keep On Walking EP will be made available on the band’s official website from March 9, 2009, and will comprise 4 tracksKeep On Walking, Can’t Help Falling In Love (live), Elvis Ain’t Dead (live) and Keep On Walking (live).

Vocalist Roy Stride explained: “We’re thrilled to be nominated for three Brit Awards, and its two years to the day since we signed our record deal. This is all down to our fans, so we want to thank them by giving away a free EP.

“This is also a massive thank you to all those that were making such a noise on our recent UK tour. We said they needed to give us their loudest voices for Keep On Walking, and they did that on every song we played so we thought this would make a nice momento of those parties.”

Scouting For Girls have been nominated for British Breakthrough Act, British Single (for Heartbeat) and British Live Act at the Brit Awards 2009.

It capped a memorable year for the pop trio, who – in 2008 – underlined their position as one of Britain’s new biggest bands with the double-platinum status of their No.1 selling eponymous debut album. They also performed to over 500,000 fans in 2008.
