Story by Jack Foley

GRAMMY® Award-winning, acclaimed alternative rock luminaries The Smashing Pumpkins have dropped Solara, the first recording in over 18 years to feature founding members Billy Corgan, James Iha, and Jimmy Chamberlin and longtime Smashing Pumpkins guitarist, Jeff Schroeder.

Recorded in Malibu, CA at Shangri La Studios with producer Rick Rubin, Solara is available now to stream and download on all digital music platforms.

This year, The Smashing Pumpkins will also embark on the Shiny And Oh So Bright Arena Tour, including a new UK date in London at The SSE Arena, Wembley on October 16, 2018.

The tour is the band’s first in nearly 20 years to feature founding members Corgan, Chamberlin, and Iha.

Long-time Smashing Pumpkins guitarist Jeff Schroeder, bassist Jack Bates, and keyboardist Katie Cole will also take part, as the band moves to a three guitar lineup to better emulate the signature tones and textures of their albums.

The Shiny And Oh So Bright Tour hits North American arenas on July 12, 2018 before heading its way to the UK this autumn. On August 2, the band will also perform a special 30th anniversary show at PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, NJ.

Tickets for The Smashing Pumpkins London UK show go on sale on Friday, June 22 at 9am.
