Story by Jack Foley

THE Spice Girls have announced their first tour for a decade, with six UK stadium dates in June next year.

Melanie Brown, Emma Bunton, Geri Horner and Melanie Chisholm will perform a selection of their greatest hits during the run of dates. But Victoria Beckham, aka Posh Spice, will not be taking part.

The foursome revealed details of the reunion tour in a video on social media on Monday, during which they said they will kick off the tour at Manchester’s Etihad Stadium on June 1, 2019, before also performing in Coventry, Sunderland, Edinburgh and Bristol, ahead of finishing at London’s Wembley Stadium.

They will be supported by Jess Glynne.

Tickets for all dates go on sale on Saturday, November 10, at 10.30am GMT.

The video that the Spice Girls released arrived in the style of a news bulletin, and saw the girls bickering over Geri’s outfit before breaking into song – with a voiceover declaring the Spice Girls tour “a shock announcement”.

The press release went on to confirm that Victoria, who runs a multi-million pound fashion label, would not join the girls on tour due to “business commitments”.

And in her own statement, Beckham said: “Being in the Spice Girls was a hugely important part of my life and I wish my girls so much love and fun as they go back on tour, I know they will put on an amazing show and the fantastic fans past and present are going to have a wonderful time!”

Nevertheless, the girls are hoping to add a world tour to their run of shows, during which they hope Victoria will play a part in some way.

The UK dates are (all June 2019)

1 – Manchester: Etihad Stadium
3 – Coventry: Ricoh Stadium
6 – Sunderland: Stadium Of Light
8 – Edinburgh: BT Murrayfield Stadium
10 – Bristol: Ashton Gate Stadium
