Steve Hackett adds Genesis Revisited UK tour dates

Steve Hackett

Story by Jack Foley

STEVE Hackett has announced that further dates have been added to his Genesis Revisited UK tour.

The legendary guitarist will be back in October/November 2013 with a second leg of dates, including a performance at the prestigious Royal Albert Hall in London.

Following the success of the Genesis Revisited II album, which is still enjoying great sales after entering the UK charts at 24 on its release a month ago, tickets to the May shows have been going fast – Birmingham is already sold out and there are only a few tickets still available for the London Hammersmith Apollo date on May 10.

Steve said: “Sales have gone ballistic with demand from promoters and fans for extra dates.

“I’m knocked out with the overwhelmingly positive response and I’m thrilled we’re going to do more shows… There’ll be some set changes between the two tours but both’ll have tons of classic faves including Supper’s Ready, Dancing with the Moonlit Knight and Musical Box…”

The new dates are (all October and November 2013):

October
22 – Birmingham Symphony Hall
23 – Bristol Colston Hall
24- London Royal Albert Hall
26 – Manchester O2 Apollo
27 – Newcastle City Hall
29 – Liverpool Philharmonic
30 – Sheffield City Hall

November
1 – Cambridge Corn Exchange

Tickets go on sale on Friday, December 7 at 9am. They are priced at £26.50, £24.50 for all venues – except London Hammersmith (£27.50) and Royal Albert Hall (£32.50/£42.50/boxes £45).
