Sting and Paul Simon unite for US tour dates (2014)

Story by Jack Foley

STING and Paul Simon are to embark on a joint tour next year (2014), prompting hopes that they may eventually perform together in the UK.

The North American tour will start in February and last for 18 dates, with more potentially to follow.

It starts at Madison Square Gardens on March 4.

Speaking to the New York Times, Sting said: “We don’t really know where this is going. We don’t really have a clue how this is going to pan out.”

Speculation is rife that the pair will play their own hits and perform a number of duets, having previously performed together in May for the Robin Hood Foundation, playing acoustic versions of Simon & Garfunkel song The Boxer and Sting’s Fields of Gold.

Indeed, it was that performance that prompted the two to first think about working together again on a joint tour.

The tour is being called Paul Simon and Sting: On Stage Together.
