Stonehouse - Wintertime exclusive stream and commentary
Story by Jack Foley
NORTH Wales blues rock band Stonehouse released their sophomore album Junction earlier this year to critical acclaim.
The LP includes some of the heavier impressions of Stonehouse‘s original Live Sessions album and also includes newer acoustic songs.
The heavier songs on Junction were recorded at LIPA studios in Liverpool under the expert control and patience of engineer producer Tomi Hargreaves; and the acoustic songs recorded engineered and produced by Stonehouse‘s very own mutli-talented Nathan Owen.
Stonehouse are Deian Elfryn – drummer, cajun box and backing vocals; Nathan Owen – acoustic and electric guitarist, piano and keys; and Colin Roberts main vocals, acoustic guitars and bass guitar.
To celebrate the release of Junction, we are proud to present an exclusive stream of the track, Wintertime.
Colin says of the track: “Yet another confession of love gone a rye! I used the symbolic metaphoric seasons with which to colour a pretty negative outburst!! Yet there is hope within the given season. I think the hope and frustrations are bought to life in Nathan s guitar work. Despite its lyrical mood its a funky little ditty nonetheless.”
