JOSE Gonzales (pictured), Elbow and The Divine Comedy are among the acts playing this year’s Summer Series at London’s Somerset House this summer.

Running from July 6 to 16 at the prestigious outdoor courtyard by the River Thames, the Summer Series has been wowing sell-out crowds for the past five years with acts including Orbital, Royksopp, Bloc Party, PJ Harvey, Lemon Jelly, Doves and Sigur Ros.

This year’s line-up welcomes Erykah Badu, Jose Gonzalez, Robert Plant and The Strange Sensation, Damian ‘Jr Gong’ Marley, Corinne Bailey Rae, Elbow, and The Divine Comedy, along with special guests Bell XI, Orange Blossom and James Morrison.

Erykah Badu’s two shows will be her only UK dates this year.

Jose Gonzales, Damian ‘Jr Gong’ Marley and Corinne Bailey Rae, meanwhile, are three of the most exciting breakthrough artists of the past few months.

Bailey Rae, especially, has enjoyed one of the most successful album releases of the year so far, while Jose Gonzales was the man behind Heartbeatsthat song for the Sony Bravia adverts.

He has recently teamed up with Zero 7 for their new album (out May 22).

Elbow, Robert Plant and The Divine Comedy, meanwhile, are all guaranteed star performers.

The Divine Comedy will be joined by Bell X1, whose latest album has to rate as one of the finest releases of the year, while Robert Plant & The Strange Sensation are joined by Orange Blossom.
