Story by Jack Foley

SUPERGRASS have confirmed they will take part in a special gig in support of an anti-slavery charity at The Forum in Kentish Town on March 25.

The gig, entitled ‘The Voice of Slavery’, is in aid of groups including Stop The Traffic and will include slots from Ed Harcourt, Finley Quaye, Emmanuel Jal and Vitamins.

It’s being compered by Rhys Ifans, Samantha Morton and Sadie Frost.

The event is being held to mark the bicentenary of British parliament’s decision to abolish the trans-Atlantic slave trade, which falls on the same day.

It is intended to raise awareness of the still prevalent issue of human trafficking.
