Take That announce extra 2011 dates and move one London show

Take That

Story by Jack Foley

TAKE That have announced an additional four UK dates to their Progress Live 2011 tour, as well as their reluctant decision to move one of the existing shows in London to an earlier date.

The band will play two more concerts at Sunderland’s Stadium of Light on May 27 and 28, bringing the total number of dates in that city to four, as well as a further extra date in Manchester on June 12.

The biggest announcement, however, concerns London, where one more concert has been added at Wembley Arena on July 4, meaning that the concert on July 3 has been moved back to June 30.

Tickets for July 3 are still valid for June 30, but anyone who is no longer able to make the revised date can get a full refund.

A statement released by the band explained: “We are really sorry to have to move the dates in London but we’d heard there was a lot of disappointment from those not being able to get tickets and this was the only way that we could fit in another show. We hope everyone understands and look forward to seeing you all next year.”

Tickets for the four new dates will go on sale at 10am on Friday, December 10.
