GRAMMY-nominated Teen Choice Breakout Artist winner and MTV VMA Nominee Taylor Swift has announced her first UK performance at London’s Kings College Students’ Union on Wednesday, September 3.

Swift is considered a star of the MySpace generation with over 858,000 friends and over 55 million song streams on her MySpace page. With platinum and gold digital singles, iTunes lauded Taylor as their Best New Artist of 2007.

She has had non-stop, astounding success. Her second single, Teardrops On My Guitar, was a Top 10 pop hit in the US and, this year to date, she has the fifth best-selling album in the US with her self-titled album that went gold in just 13 weeks, platinum in only 32 weeks, and double platinum in 58 weeks.

Change, a new song from her upcoming worldwide release, was selected by Team USA as one of their theme songs for the Olympics.

Just 18-years-old, Swift has quickly become one of music’s most successful new stars as the Country Music Association recognized her with its Horizon Award for Best New Artist and CMT awarded her its most prestigious award, Video of the Year, for Our Song.

Tickets for the London show cost £10 and go on sale on Friday, August 22 at 9am.
