Taylor Swift

Story by Jack Foley

FOLLOWING her sold-out UK appearances already this year, Taylor Swift has announced a new UK date at London’s Wembley Arena.

The 19-year-old singer/songwriter will play her largest UK date on November 23, 2009 and tickets go on sale on Saturday, June 20, at 10am.

Swift is now one of the most successful country/pop singers to emerge from the US in some time. Fearless, her current album, reached double platinum status in the US just four weeks after its release and was the year’s biggest US debut for any female artist.

It also held the No.1 slot on the Billboard album chart for seven weeks, the highest amount of consecutive weeks for a female artist this decade!

Her massive US hits, including Love Story, Our Song, Teardrops On My Guitar and Should’ve Said No, are all featured on the record.

Taylor released her self-titled debut album in 2006, which has been certified triple- platinum (with sales more than 3.5 million in the US).
