Teenage Cancer Trust Royal Albert Hall gigs: Madness and David Gray added to bill

Story by Jack Foley

MADNESS, Newton Faulkner and David Gray have all been added to the line-up for this year’s Teenage Cancer Trust gigs at the Royal Albert Hall (2008).

The newcomers join a bill that already includes headline slots by Muse (now sold out), The Fratellis (tickets still available) and Paul Weller and friends (including Duffy).

Madness will open the week-long series of concerts on Tuesday, April 8, with special guests that have yet to be announced, while Newton Faulkner and David Gray will appear together on a last night bill that also includes Joan Armatrading and Amy Macdonald (with further acts to be announced) on Sunday, April 13.

Tickets for these shows go on sale at 10am on Monday, March 10.

Marking the eighth year of Teenage Cancer Trust gigs at the Royal Albert Hall, Madness, who are playing their second gig for TCT, Joan Armatrading, David Gray, Newton Faulkner and Amy Macdonald will join the already announced Noel Fielding hosting a night of comedy, ‘Mod-Father’ Paul Weller with Steve Cradock and hotly-tipped soul singer, Duffy, the mighty Fratellis and one of Britain’s most ambitious live acts, Muse.

Tickets for Muse and Paul Weller are sold out but there is limited availability for the Fratellis and Noel Fielding.
