The Airborne Toxic Event

Story by Jack Foley

LOS Angeles based The Airborne Toxic Event have announced a very special acoustic British tour this autumn to coincide with the UK DVD release of their new movie, All I Ever Wanted – The Airborne Toxic Event: Live From Walt Disney Concert Hall.

The four dates include a night at London’s Union Chapel, as well as venues in Edinburgh and Manchester. It will be preceded by a premiere event to mark the film’s inclusion at the Raindance Film Festival (see below for dates).

All I Ever Wanted is a documentary film about The Airborne Toxic Event’s sold-out performance at the internationally renowned Walt Disney Concert Hall, featuring an eclectic mix of musicians and performers – ranging from a children’s choir, a world-class string quartet, an high school marching band, horn players, visual artists, and Mexican folkórico dancers.

Available in the UK on October 4, the documentary offers an intimate, behind-the-scenes look at the exhaustive rehearsals and preparation that went into putting on the show at the Frank Gehry-designed venue, home of the Los Angeles Philharmonic.

It has also been accepted into the prestigious Raindance Film Festival in London (www.raindance.org).

The dates are (all September and October 2010):

30 – Raindance Film Festival Premiere, London

October
1 – Pleasance Theatre, Edinburgh
2 – Deaf Institute, Manchester
