The Charlatans announce October tour with Shaun Ryder

FOLLOWING the success of their retrospective Some Friendly dates, The Charlatans have announced details of an extensive UK tour in October.

The 13-date tour starts in Newcastle on October 7 and runs to Birmingham on October 23, taking in eight O2 Academy’s including London’s O2 Academy Brixton.

Shaun Ryder will be special guest on the tour and will be opening all shows.

Tickets go on sale on Friday, June 4 at 9.30am.

The band are currently putting the finishing touches to their new album, Who We Touch, produced by Youth, and due for release on September 6, 2010, on Frinck Recordings through Cooking Vinyl.

The album will be preceded by the release of the single, Love Is Ending, on July 19.
