The Coral announce new album and UK tour

THE Coral release their new album Roots & Echoes on August 6 and have announced a 10-date headlining UK tour for October.

The band have already previewed the new tracks at T in the Park, Glastonbury and several low-key dates and a single – Who’s Gonna Find Me – precedes the album on July 30.

The band have also been touring Europe as special guests of the Arctic Monkeys and will join them in America for further dates prior to their own UK dates.

In what is proving a busy time for them, the six-piece from Hoylake, Merseyside will play a couple of one-off intimate shows in London, including The ICA on July 30 as part of the iTunes festival and The 100 Club on August 6 as part of XFM’s 10th anniversary celebrations.

They will also be appearing on the Channel 4 stage at the V Festival in Chelmsford on August 18 and Staffordshire on the 19th.

The October tour dates are:

11 – London, Roundhouse
12 – Manchester, Academy 1
13 – Leeds University
14 – Birmingham, Academy
16 – Oxford, Academy
17 – Southampton, Guildhall
18 – Sheffield, Octagon
20 – Glasgow, ABC1

Special guests on the tour will be The Metros. Tickets cost £16 (except London, £17.50) and they go on sale on Friday, July 27 at 10am.
