The Divine Comedy announce November tour dates (2010)

THE Divine Comedy’s Neil Hannon has announced an extensive UK tour in November 2010.

The new dates come in addition to his sold out show at London’s sumptuous Somerset House on July 17 ahead of summer festival dates.

The October and November shows go on sale on Friday, July 9 at 9am. All shows are The Divine Comedy solo sets and all tickets cost £17.50 except Belfast (£20) and London (£25).

The autumn tour dates are (all November 2010):

5 – Reading, Concert Hall
6 – Bristol, Anson Rooms
8 – Cardiff, The Gate
9 – Manchester, Academy 2
10 – London, Royal Festival Hall
11 – Sheffield, Leadmill
12 – Cambridge, West Concert Hall
14 – Brighton, Komedia
15 – Bournemouth, Academy
16 – Oxford, Academy
17 – Warwick, Arts Centre

The Divine Comedy plays the following dates this summer:

Hannon’s new single, I Like, is released on August 1 through Divine Comedy Records.

The opposite of a soppy, sappy ballad, it’s set to the kind of ecstatic motown stomp that makes toe-tapping an inevitability. It’s taken from the album, Bang Goes The Knighthood, which is out now.
