The Good The Bad & The Queen say farewell to Palais

Damon Albarn

Story by Jack Foley

A LINE-up of very special guests has been confirmed to join Damon Albarn’s The Good, The Bad and The Queen at Hammersmith Palais on Saturday night (March 31, 2007).

The Tony Allen Orchestra will be the first to take to the stage, followed by performance poet John Cooper Clark, and DJ Don Letts is also due to play a set before The Good, The Bad and The Queen take to the stage.

The night will then close with a DJ set by Jose Carretas from Restless Soul Productions.

The line up should ensure a truly legendary farewell to Hammersmith Palais as a concert venue.

In addition, The Good The Bad & The Queen are releasing their new single Green Fields next week (Monday, April 2), which will be available to buy in both the shops and online.

It’s taken from the eponymous album that was released to acclaim earlier this year.

For anyone who doesn’t know, The Good, The Bad & The Queen is comprised of Damon Albarn, Paul Simonon (of The Clash), Tony Allen (Africa 70 / Fela Kuti) and Simon Tong (The Verve).
